At Sawubona, we are passionate about entrepreneurship and we are especially passionate about women entrepreneurs. This is why at the core of our CSR is a strong desire to help female entrepreneurs build sustainable and enduring businesses.

We achieve this by offering our services to female entrepreneurs at significantly discounted rates and often provide them several additional services within a period of 1-3 months at no additional cost. Since the launch of our CSR program for women, we have helped quite a number of them build successful businesses. Our CSR has spanned businesses in the Fashion and Lifestyle, Manufacturing, Professional Services and Non-Profit industries.

Board of Directors

Kevwe Ijatomi, Non-Executive Director

Kevwe’s has a first degree in Accounting from Delta State University, Abraka, Delta State and a Masters in Management Degree from the Bristol Business School, United Kingdom. He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK. Kevwe is currently a Senior Finance Manager at Hitachi, Hook, United Kingdom, a role that sees him provide financial planning functions on several multi-million pound contracts across Europe, Asia and the Americas. Kevwe’s experience spans across Telecoms and the blue-chip financial management. He specializes in implementing change, commercial finance and cost transformation projects.

Odiri Oginni, Non-Executive Director

Odiri currently works with United Capital Plc as Head of Financial Control. She was prior to that the Head of Strategy and Investor Relations. She is responsible for overseeing all the Company’s financial operations, including finance, accounting, administration and tax. She has worked in Audit and Financial Analysis roles in Akintola Williams Deloitte and BGL Plc, respectively. She is a CFA Charter holder and a Chartered Accountant. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy with First Class Honors from Babcock University, Ogun State.

Ejiro Gegere-Ogie, Non-Executive Director

Ejiro specialises in Media and Brand Management. Her academic background is in English and Literary Studies and Media & Communication. Ejiro began her career at Next Newspapers and then moved to E-Tranzact in 2010. At E-Tranzact, Ejiro manages the brand and communication activities. Ejiro has a Master’s Degree fromn the School of Media and Communication of the Pan Atlantic University, Lagos .

Adeniyi Adeosun, Non-Executive Director

Adeniyi currently works as a Business Analyst in BA London. His academic background is in Multimedia Arts and Media and Communication. He has worked in organisations like Sony, ITV UK, Virgin Media, HCL Plc, and DWA Group.

Obinna Igwebuike, Co-Founder & Managing Partner

Obinna has seven years’ experience in Consulting, spanning industries like FMCGs, Legal and Financial Services, Metals and Mining, Healthcare and Technology. His experience also spans profit and non-profit organisations. He has consulted for businesses like British American Tobacco Nigeria, UNIDO, Aso Savings and Loans Plc, Unilever, P&G, Airtel, Victoria Phosphates (Serbia), Nutricia Ltd, and Bevan Brittan LLP (UK). He also has internship experience in Sinclair Adamson & Co., a London based Private Equity firm. These briefs have covered functional areas like Corporate and Brand Communication, Human Resource and Financial Planning, Strategy, & Managerial Economics. Obinna has a B.A (Linguistics) and an MBA from Bristol Business School, United Kingdom. Obinna also has a Reuters 3000 Xtra Certification from the Reuters Markets Academy, UK.

Brainerd Odiete, Co-Founder& Partner, Strategic Planning and Venture Management

Brainerd is an entrepreneur, with a knack for combining commercial and creative skills to provide business solutions for SMEs. At SMARTLab, he has Consulted for over fifty startups and growing companies. His areas of specialization include Market Research, Business Planning, Strategic Planning, Business Model Development, Marketing Strategy. Brainerd is also a consultant on the Federal Government’s YouWiN programme, where he mentors and monitors over 30 small businesses in South East Nigeria. He studied Biochemistry at the University of Benin, and is working towards completing his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification.

Otito Nwaigwe-Chukwu

Otito is an expert in economics and finance. She possesses deep understanding of financial statements and knowledge of a wide range of products – equity, fixed income, derivatives and alternative investments. She has a strong focus on asset and portfolio management, risk management and derivatives. Her work experience spans Morgan Stanley, Canary Wharf London, where she was an Analyst, Deutshe Bank London, where she was an Associate at the Fixed Income Priority Client Group. She also worked at BGL Private Equity Abuja as Head of Real Estate and Infrastructure Desk. She has an MSc in Statistics from the University College London and is a CFA Level 3 Candidate.

Brainerd Odiete

Brainerd is an entrepreneur, with a knack for combining commercial and creative skills to provide business solutions for SMEs. Dr. David Beard

David is an experienced international human resources and organisational design consultant with a proven track record of success in delivering innovative solutions in the United Kingdom, Europe, Middle-East, Africa, USA and Asia. He is passionate about the delivery of excellent consultancy solutions which deliver real and measurable business benefits and which exceed clients’ expectations. He has about 30 years’ experience in HR and organisational design consulting, working for private and public organisations (many of the public organisations are public utilities), to implement strategic and tactical HR interventions for these organisations.
