Delivering prosperity, rewriting the African story.

Our Story

We were founded in 2012 as a management consulting firm, with a focus on helping companies solve problems and take advantage of value opportunities in their environment. Over time, we saw how limited this commercially focused approach to consulting was, in doing what mattered most to us; contributing to solving Africa’s development challenges.

This led us to rethink our approach to consulting and we morphed from a commercially-focused management consulting firm to a development-focused consulting, with the goal of using our rich experience in commercial consulting to create market-based solutions to development challenges.

Who we are

We are a passionate team of consultants, storytellers, designers, digital evangelists, problem solvers and incurable optimists, who believe that market-based solutions hold the key to solving Africa’s development challenges.

Since our founding in 2012, our approach has been to look beyond grim statistics, to create compelling market-driven solutions that improve development outcomes on the continent. This is based on our belief that market-based initiatives led by the private sector are critical to any progress that will be made on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Our Mission

Our mission is to stimulate market-based initiatives that can plug Africa’s development gaps, improving development outcomes on the continent.

Our Advantage

  • We are very embedded in the development space in Nigeria, with network of relationships across the public, private and social sectors. Given the work we have done in the past, we know the levers on which to drive an effective and efficient market-based social impact programme.
  • Over the last 2 years, our leadership has supported the deployment of a public sector fund by a European Government, by coaching and mentoring 12 private sector applicants in developing business cases to attract grant funding. 5 of these applicants were funded with total grants received of circa $2m. These grants are expected to create a total of 7,578 decent jobs in Nigeria in sectors like edtech, agriculture, fashion, and financial inclusion.
